These notes summarise some milonga lessons by Alex Krebs at the Cambridge TangoBar.

Alex reminded us about milonga "style":

... weight centred on each step;

... frequent Traspie movements;

... back foot fully down; and

... side-to-side rocking of the torso with the music.

 

We then added an ocho and repeated:

 
  Leader steps back on his right leg 45 anti-clock across and with the line of dance

Leader turns so his lead foot follows LOD

Leader's other foot does 90 turn across LOD with hips over turning

Leader steps across follower's line to close

... and then tried a corkscrew:
