Bylaugh
One
weekend, in the Spring of 2004, Richard &
Eleonora, originally from Rosario but now based
in London, held a series of Tango workshops in
the recently-refurbished Orangery of Bylaugh Hall in Norfolk.
Richard
& Eleonora led a series of workshops with a
small group of local or temporarily resident
participants on Saturday and Sunday - morning and
afternoon - based on caminita and corrida.
There
was also a Valentine's Milonga on the Saturday
night.

The first workshop began
with basic caminita:
|
|
| |
walk
to music around the room in the line of dance |
then we occasionally added
the corrida:
|
|
|
| |
several
normal steps then three short double time steps,
continuing in normal time |
then we played with a
reverse of direction during the walk:
|
|
|
| |
forward,
open step in LOD, back step, open step in LOD,
forward step etc |
and occasionally added a
corrida on teh backward steps:
|

open along LOD, back,back,back, open along LOD,
forrward |
then we played with
entering and exiting the cross system:

forward
in cross-system, walk some steps, change to
parallel with leader's double step either
crossing behind or stepping alongside other foot,
continue in parallel, switching from time to time |
begin on Leader's left,
Follower's left in cross system;

forward
with gentle in-line sacada of Follower's left
leg; walk some steps:
change
to parallel with leader's double step either
crossing behind or stepping alongside other foot:
continue
in parallel, switching from time to time
