Our salida:
|
|
| |
We
practised a salida starting with a wide step to
the leader's left with the leader turning to
bring his follower offset to his right as they
walked forward to the cross (or not) according to
the lead. |
We then modified the pre-cross
steps (4 and 5) to lead a forward ocho:
|
|
| |
4
offset leader steps forward on left, turning his
chest to begin bringing his follower in front for
the cross 5 leader half steps
forward on right - torso square so follower
crosses in front of him - bringing his right foot
close behind his left with foot pointing 45 to
the right.
leader
opens his torso as he transfers weight to right
to lead his follower into the forward ocho
leader
turns his torso back forward as he transfers
weight to left to lead his follower to complete
her forward ocho
leader
closes right to left, bringing his follower
square in front of him ready to continue.
|
We then learned a
different form of back ocho
4
offset leader steps forward to bring his left
foot alongside his right; his torso turns his
follower 45 to the right, transferring her weight
onto her left foot,
repeating:
|
|
| |
leader
steps forward/diagonally on right taking follower
into a back step on her right leg and left side leader closes his
left to his right and turns follower 90 to his
left
leader
steps forward/diagonally on right taking follower
into a back step on her left leg and right side
leader
closes his left to his right and turns follower
90 to his right
|
until:
|
|
| |
leader
walks out on his left rather than closing. |
and the mordita following
a back ocho:
|
|
:
|
leader
leads follower into a back step on her right leg
and left side as his short step onto his right
foot finds outside of follower's left foot leader keeps his
weight forward and brings his left foot to bite
his follower's right foot.
|
and a mordita directly
from the salida;
his
torso turns his follower 45 to the left,
transferring her weight onto her right foot:
|
|
| |
leader
leads follower into a back step on her left leg
and right side as his short step onto his left
foot finds outside of follower's right foot leader keeps his
weight forward and brings his right foot to bite
his follower's left foot.
leader
withdraws his left foot drawing his follower
forward and round to his right into a forward
ocho over his foot
